Three baskets across two capacities. HF403A and HF407A are the 4.5L drums, enough for a family portion of chips or a tray of chicken pieces, and HF501A steps up to 5L for a bigger load and fewer rounds. All three move hot air around the food rather than submerging it, so a spoonful of oil brushed on does the work of a pan full.

How to choose

Capacity here is basket volume, not the area food can lie on, and food only browns where the air can actually reach it. If you cook for four or more, take the 5L and keep the load to a single layer instead of heaping it. If counter space is the tighter constraint, the 4.5L bodies have the smaller footprint. Either way, leave a hand span of clear air behind the machine, because the exhaust comes out of the back and it is hot.
