Huayu universal remotes

Huayu makes replacement remote controls — the sort you buy after the original has been sat on, lost behind a cupboard or had its buttons worn smooth. One handset carries codes for a long list of television and air-conditioner makes.

There is nothing to order under the name from this page today. Setting a universal remote up means finding the code for your make, either from the leaflet or by holding a key while the handset cycles until the set answers. Send the appliance model number on Viber to 939-4720 and the shop will check.

• One handset can cover a television, a decoder and an air conditioner
• Air-conditioner handsets carry a screen for temperature and mode
• Keep the code leaflet after setup; batteries wipe some handsets
• Remote Controls is the full listing across vendors
