Philips rice cookers, 0.85L and 1.8L

Two sizes cover most kitchens here. The 0.85L Mini HD3170/62 is the pot for a couple, a single room or a small office pantry. At 1.8L there are two: the HD3008/30 with straightforward one-touch cooking and keep-warm, and the digital HD4717/30, whose panel gives you more than a single cook button.

Read the litre figure as the volume of the bowl, not the amount of cooked rice — filled to the brim a cooker will boil over, so the working capacity is always lower than the number on the box. A household cooking rice twice a day is safer at 1.8L; the 0.85L is genuinely small and best kept to one or two plates.
