Rice cookers for every household size
The ladder here is a long one. Ricco's glass-lid pots cover 1L, 1.5L, 1.8L, 2.2L and 2.8L; Hisun runs from a 2.2L two-pot up through 3.6L to the 8L and 10L pots that suit a canteen or a function; Sanford and Geepas make the small 0.4L, 0.5L and 0.6L cookers for one person; and 3-in-1 models from Geepas and Ricco add a steamer tier above the rice.
How to choose
A 1.8L pot is the usual family size and 1.2L is right for two or three, so buy for the pan rather than the appetite. The plastic cup in the box is the measure the water markings expect, and a kitchen mug will throw the level off every time. Check that the inner pot lifts out and the lid can be washed, since that is the part you handle daily.
0.3L to 1L for one or two, 1.8L and 2.2L for a family, 8L and 10L for catering
Glass lids if you like watching the boil, solid lids to hold heat
3-in-1 pots with a steamer basket for fish and vegetables
