Ricco rice cookers

The RC series covers the sizes a household actually cooks: RC100A at 1L, RC150B at 1.5L, RC180A at 1.8L, RC220A at 2.2L and RC280 at 2.8L. RC30 and RC60 sit below them for a single serving, and the JRC-120H adds a 1.2L 3-in-1 body that steams and boils as well.

Read the litres as the pot’s total volume, not as finished rice. Filled much past two-thirds, any cooker spits starch out of the vent and leaves a puddle on the counter. As a rough guide 1.5L feeds three or four with something left for the morning, and 2.2L or 2.8L is what you want if guests are normal in your house. Keep-warm is there to hold a finished pot until people sit down, not to store rice overnight.

  • 1L and 1.2L for one or two people
  • 1.5L and 1.8L for a family cooking once a day
  • 2.2L and 2.8L when you regularly cook for guests
  • 0.3L and 0.6L for a desk, a cabin or one plate
  • Rinse the inner pot by hand; a dishwasher dulls the coating
