Smarki Range Hoods
Smarki range hoods
Two shapes cover this slice. SRS701B in black and SRS701S in silver are chimney hoods, mounted on an open wall with the duct running up behind the column. SRS206 is a sliding hood, built to tuck under a wall cabinet with the visor pulling out over the pan while you cook.
Work out the duct route before you pick a finish. A chimney hood wants a clear wall and a way to the outside; a sliding hood suits the far more common flat where a cabinet already sits above the hob. Whichever you fit, hang it over the burners rather than beside them and match it to their full width, since a hood only catches what rises straight into it.
