Mixer grinders and stand mixers
Two different machines share this page. The jar-and-blade mixer grinder is the workhorse — Panasonic MX-AC300, MX-AC460 and MX-AV425, the Croma CRAK4184, the Philips HL7757/00 — sold with three, four or five jars so dry masala, wet chutney and general blending each keep their own. The stand mixers are for dough and batter: a DSP at 4L, Hisun at 7L and 10L, Geepas at 8.5L.
How to choose
Count the jars against the way you actually cook. A dry grinding jar that lives on the base saves a wash mid-recipe, and a small chutney jar handles a handful far better than a large one, which needs volume to reach the blades. On a stand mixer, pick the bowl by the size of your usual batch rather than by the motor rating.
