Infrared Cookers at Night Owl
These cookers run on electricity from a wall socket, with no cylinder and no flame. Most of the range is infrared, from Hisun, Smarki and Sonifer: a glowing element under a flat glass plate that heats whatever sits on it. The Hisun JY-TG925B2F has two cooking zones for rice and curry at the same time.
How to choose
An infrared plate takes any flat-bottomed pot, whether glass, clay, aluminium or steel, which is why it suits a kitchen that already owns its cookware. Induction heats faster and leaves the glass cooler, but only works with a pan a magnet sticks to. Among the Hisun models, H-IF012 uses push buttons while the H-IF022 adds a rotary knob.
- Infrared cookers that work with the pots you already have
- A two-zone model for cooking two dishes together
- Touch, push-button and knob controls
- No gas cylinder or regulator to manage
