Description
RapidAir technology: A powerful heating element and fan drive hot air around the star-shaped pan so food crisps on the outside and stays tender inside. Philips rates the result at up to 90% less fat than the same dish deep-fried in a conventional fryer, so chips, wings and samosas come out golden on little more than a brush of oil.
6.2 litre pan for a full family meal: The pan swallows up to 800 g of fries, 800 g of vegetables or eight chicken drumsticks in one load, which is enough for a family dinner without cooking in batches. The footprint stays compact at roughly 40 cm across, so it still fits on a normal kitchen counter.
Digital touchscreen with 9 presets: Tap a preset for frozen fries, fresh fries, drumsticks, meat, fish, breakfast, vegetables, cake or keep-warm and the Airfryer sets its own time and temperature. Set the dial manually instead and you unlock 13 cooking methods in total, including reheating and defrosting, anywhere up to 200°C.
Cooking window: A mesh-backed window in the drawer lets you watch food brown without pulling the basket out, so heat is not lost every time you want to check on progress. A temperature indicator and cool-touch handgrip make it safer to handle mid-cook.
Faster and cheaper than the oven: Because the chamber is small and the airflow is fast, there is almost no preheating. Philips measures cooking as up to 50% faster and up to 70% more energy-efficient than using a conventional oven for the same dish.
Easy cleanup: The removable basket and non-stick StarPlate go straight into the dishwasher, and the coated interior wipes clean, so there is no soaking pan of used frying oil to deal with afterwards.
