The Panasonic EH-ND57H is the full-size quiet dryer: 1500 W of output running at 55 dB on the Set position. Panasonic engineered the noise down without giving up the airflow you need to actually get hair dry, which is the difference between a quiet dryer and a weak one.

Three positions cover the whole job. Turbo moves the most air for the initial rough dry, Set steps down to a controlled flow for shaping with a brush, and Cool sends unheated air to fix the finished style in place. Two heat settings work alongside them, so you can control how hard the dryer is working at each stage.

The set nozzle is what makes the middle stage possible. It clips onto the barrel and channels air onto the section you are working on rather than letting it scatter, which is the requirement for controlled styling and a smooth blow-dry finish.
