Panasonic is one of the deepest shelves in the shop, and the Super Mixer Grinder line is the heart of it: three, four and five-jar sets across the MX-AC300, MX-AV325, MX-AC460, MX-AV425 and MX-AC560, with spare jars sold on their own, including the MX-SM11 mill jar and the AC-300CA chutney jar. Around that sit steam and dry irons, hair dryers, rice cookers, a 20L microwave, split air conditioners and the RF-2400 portable radio.
Buying into a jar system
With a mixer grinder the jar count is the real decision. Three jars covers wet grinding, dry masala and chutney; the four and five-jar sets add a slimmer jar and a blender jug on top. Because the jars are sold separately, a cracked or worn one does not retire the motor, which is worth knowing before choosing a machine whose parts you cannot replace.
