Description
The Sonifer SF-9610 is a corded clipper, and that is a deliberate choice rather than a compromise. It plugs into the mains and draws 9 W directly from AC 220–240 V, which means it delivers the same power on the last pass as the first. Cordless clippers slow down as the battery drains, and that shows up in the cut once you are halfway through.
The bigger advantage is longevity. On budget clippers the battery is almost always what fails first — the motor and blades usually outlast it by years. There is no battery here to degrade, so there is nothing to fade, nothing to replace, and no chance of finding it dead on the morning you need it. Plug it in and it works.
Four replaceable heads come in the box. Changing the head rather than just a comb alters how the blade cuts, which is what gives one clipper a useful range across different lengths and blending work. The blades are pure steel and hold their edge through repeated use.
The housing puts metal through the working parts with a plastic body, so it stays light enough to hold comfortably through a full haircut.
The trade-off is honest and obvious: you are tied to a socket, and you work around a cable. If you cut hair at home in the same spot each time, that costs you very little and buys you a clipper that will not let you down. There is no published waterproof rating, so brush the head clean rather than rinsing it.
