Insulated Casseroles at Night Owl
These are serving casseroles — the insulated hot pots that carry rice, curry or roshi from the stove to the table and hold the heat through a long meal. Cello, Milton and Nayasa cover what is here, from single bodies like the Cello Aurum and the Nayasa Bloom to the Milton Orchid 3500 and the Nayasa Bethany set.
Two things settle the choice. Size comes first, and a casserole performs best when it is full, so buy for the dish you serve most often rather than for the largest body on the shelf: a 2500 body suits a family rice portion, the 3500 is for a crowd. Then the lining. Steel scrubs clean after an oily curry and will not stain; moulded liners are lighter to lift and come in more colours.
