Panasonic 1800W Fast Dry Hair Dryer Black - EH-ND37

The Panasonic EH-ND37 draws 1800 W and dries like a 2000 W unit. Panasonic improved the airflow path and the heater so the drying capability comes out ahead of the power draw — in practice, the same short drying time from a dryer that is easier on your wiring and on your hair.

Speed is only half the design. Two of its four modes exist to keep temperature in check: Scalp Care puts gentle warm air at the roots for a comfortable dry rather than blasting them, and Heat Protection holds a milder air temperature so hair is dried at a sensible heat instead of cooked. Turbo and a separate cool-shot button complete the set of four airflow settings.

The cool shot is worth using deliberately. A button on the handle switches instantly to cool air, so once a section is dry and brushed into shape a cold burst sets the style — that is what stops a blow-dry dropping out an hour later.

The included set nozzle spreads high-temperature air across a broad area rather than pinpointing it, which is what makes short work of rough-drying large sections before you move on to styling.

A slim handle and even weight distribution keep your wrist comfortable through a full blow-dry, and the handle folds up against the barrel afterwards so the dryer tucks into a drawer or a suitcase.
