Description
The Philips OneBlade QP1624/10 is the Face + Body model, and it is worth being clear about what OneBlade actually is, because it does not fit the usual categories. It is not a foil shaver and it is not a beard trimmer. It is a single fast-moving blade that trims long hair, cuts a clean edge, and shaves close to the skin — the whole routine with one tool.
The blade moves 6,000 times a minute, which is what lets it cut through length that would clog a normal shaver. Around it sits a dual protection system: a glide coating and rounded blade tips, so the blade travels over skin instead of digging into it. You can shave in either direction, which is genuinely useful when you are lining up an edge and need to see what you are doing.
Four attachments cover length. Click-on stubble combs at 1 mm, 3 mm and 5 mm hold a consistent shadow or short beard, a 3 mm body comb handles body hair, and a click-on skin protector goes on for sensitive areas. Two blades come in the box — one for the face and a separate one for the body — which keeps body grooming from wearing out the blade you use on your jaw.
It is rated IPX7, so it is fully waterproof: use it in the shower, use it with shaving gel, and rinse the whole handle clean under the tap afterwards. A full 8-hour charge gives 30 minutes of cordless running time.
One honest note on running cost. The blade is a consumable, and Philips rates it at up to four months of use before it should be replaced. That is normal for this kind of shaving system, but it is worth knowing up front — the purchase price is not the whole cost, in the same way it is not with any razor.
