DSP Body Trimmer - 60768

The DSP 60768 is a body trimmer built around one design decision that matters: it is rated IPX7, which means fully washable rather than merely splash-resistant. You can take the whole thing under the tap and rinse it clean. On a body trimmer that is not a luxury — it is the difference between a hygienic tool and one you end up replacing.

The motor turns at 5,800 RPM. Body hair rarely grows in one tidy direction, and a slow blade tends to bend hair over rather than cut it, which is what causes tugging. The blade speed here is what keeps passes smooth, and the stainless steel blades are chosen to stay corrosion-free given the trimmer is meant to get wet.

Power is generous for the category. The 600 mAh lithium cell (an ICR14500, so a standard size rather than a sealed oddity) gives 90 minutes or more of runtime and charges fully in 90 minutes or less from an ordinary DC 5 V, 1 A supply. In practice you will use it for a few minutes at a time, which means charging it perhaps once a month.

An LED display shows working status, so you can see where the battery is before starting rather than discovering it halfway through. It is cordless throughout, which is the only sensible arrangement for a tool used in the shower and at awkward angles.

Rinse it after each use, let it dry, and it will keep going for years.
