Milk frothers at Night Owl
Electric jug frothers from Sonifer (SF-8154) and DSP (KA3143) sit on this page. Milk goes into the jug, one button starts the whisk, and there is no pan to watch and no steam wand to clean afterwards — which is the appeal when your coffee comes from a filter or a jar rather than an espresso machine.
Getting good foam
Foam is mostly about the milk and the fill line. Full cream gives a dense foam that holds its shape on a cappuccino, while skimmed whips up higher and collapses within a minute. Fill only to the marked line, because milk roughly doubles as it foams and a full jug climbs straight out. Cold milk from the fridge froths better than milk left standing on the counter.
- Jug frothers from Sonifer and DSP, one button each
- Fill to the marked line and no further
- Full cream for dense foam, skimmed for volume that fades
- Rinse the jug and whisk while warm, before milk dries onto them
