Table, Desk and Orbit Fans

Small fans cool one person or one corner, and three shapes do it differently: table and desk models that sit beside you, clip fans that grip a shelf or a cot rail, and orbit fans that go on a stand or a wall bracket. The one here at the moment is the Hisun FD40S001, a 16" orbit fan in black.

An orbit fan earns its place where floor space is short. Its head sits inside a ring rather than on a column, so it can be fixed above a doorway or set on a shelf, and it throws air further than a desk fan of the same blade size. A desk fan is the better answer when you want the air aimed at one chair, and a clip fan is what you want near a cot or a kitchen shelf where nothing should be knocked over.

  • Hisun FD40S001 orbit fan, 16" blade, black body
  • Orbit heads sit on a stand or go up on a wall bracket
  • Desk and clip types for a single seat, a counter or a cot rail
  • Check the fixing kit if the fan is going on a wall
