Water Boilers & Urns
Water Boilers and Urns
A boiler is not a large kettle. It holds a body of water at temperature and gives it out through a tap, so a queue of people can fill cup after cup without anyone waiting on a reboil. On this page that is the Geepas GK6154, a 6.8L stainless steel urn built for a tea counter, an office pantry or a function table.
Size it by the sitting rather than by the day. Work out how many cups go out in the busiest half hour and buy above that number, because topping up a hot urn in the middle of service is the awkward part. Stainless steel is the body to have where something is handled all day, since it takes knocks and wipes clean. Stand it so the tap overhangs the counter edge or a tray, because drips are the usual complaint.
- Geepas GK6154, 6.8L, stainless steel
- Tap dispensing, so a cup can be filled one-handed
- Sized for a counter or a pantry rather than a single cup
- Give it a socket of its own and room for the steam to clear
