Philips Blenders
Philips Blenders at Night Owl
Two shapes of blender sit on this page. The jug blenders, the HR2222 and the 5000 Series HR2223, are the ones for volume: smoothies, juice, batter, a jug of soup. The hand blenders, HR2520/00 and HR1680, go down into the pot you already cooked in. The 3000 Series HR2041/10 arrives with a mill jar as well, so dry spices and coffee stay in the same box.
Jug or stick
A jug blender needs enough liquid to drag the food down onto the blades, so it is happiest with a decent load and least useful for a small quantity. A hand blender starts exactly where the jug gives up: half a cup of chutney, a pot of soup you would rather not decant, baby food. Most kitchens end up with one of each, and the mill jar is what saves buying a separate grinder for masala.
