Philips Garment Steamers
Philips garment steamers at Night Owl
The Philips steamers stocked here are all handheld. The STH1000 from the 1000 Series is the small one that packs into a bag; above it sit three compact steamers that differ mainly in heat-up and colour — the 1800W STE1030/20 in Deep Azur, the 1800W STE1020/40 in Soft Red and the 1600W STE1010/70 in Desert Green.
Steamer or iron?
A steamer relaxes creases in cloth that is already hanging, which is the quick answer for a shirt before work and the only sensible one for curtains you would rather not take down. It will not put a sharp edge on a collar or a trouser leg; that still wants an iron and a board. Wattage here is about how fast the plate reaches working steam, so the 1800W pair is ready sooner than the 1600W.
- STH1000 Handheld Steamer 1000 Series — the compact one for travel
- 1800W STE1030/20 (Deep Azur) and STE1020/40 (Soft Red)

- Fill with clean water and empty the tank afterwards, or deposits block the plate holes
- Steam on the hanger, keep the plate moving, let the garment dry before folding
