Prestige is the pressure cooker most kitchens in Malé already know how to use, and the shelf runs from a one-person 1.5L up to a 5L for batch cooking. The Popular SVACHH line — 10162, 10164, 10165, 10166 and 10167 — is spun aluminium, with a deflector in the lid that sends boil-over back into the pot instead of down the outside. Beside it sit the Triply handis at 3L and 3.5L.
How to choose
Size first. 2L and 3L cover daily dal, rice and curry for a small household; 4L and 5L earn their space only if you cook for a crowd. Then the lid: an outer-lid cooker such as the 2L Judge Classic in stainless steel (25759) opens away from the body and takes a separator stack, while an inner-lid Triply seals from underneath and stores in a narrower cupboard.
