Description
The Swan 989 is a household sewing machine for everyday sewing at home – hemming trousers, taking in a dress, mending school uniforms, making cushion covers and curtains. It has twenty-four built-in stitches, an electric motor and a foot controller, and this one is finished in white: an all-white body with a blue-and-grey wave pattern along the base.
It is a mechanical machine. One dial chooses the stitch, a second sets stitch length, and the 4-step buttonhole is sewn by turning through four positions on the dial. The Easy Threading System guides the thread from spool to needle, and a lever on the front sews in reverse to lock the ends of each seam. An LED lights the sewing area.
It comes with the foot controller, an accessory pack with bobbins, needles and spare presser feet, and an English instruction manual.
It runs on 220V and ships with a two-pin round plug. A square three-pin socket needs an adapter.
