Tawa 16cm Blue

This 16 cm tawa is a small non-stick pan for the jobs that don't need a big one: one fried egg, a small omelette, a single portion of vegetables, or the spoon of hot oil that tempers mustard seeds and curry leaves before they go into the pot. This is the blue one; the same tawa also comes in red and green, at the same price.

Inside is a black non-stick coating, so food lifts out with very little oil. To keep it that way, use wooden or silicone tools rather than metal, wash it by hand with a soft sponge, and let it cool before it goes under the tap. Scratches and sudden cold water are what wear a non-stick coating out early.

The black handle sits in a metal bracket riveted to the side of the pan, with a hole at the end for hanging, and a plain silver rim runs round the top edge.
