Description
The Longtime C70 is an adjustable high-pressure regulator for LPG burners that run at bar rather than millibar: commercial wok burners, large boiling rings, and catering or outdoor burners. It takes gas from the cylinder at up to 10 bar and delivers it at whatever pressure the knob is set to, anywhere up to 2 bar, at up to 8 kg an hour.
It is not a regulator for a household stove, and that matters. A home stove or hob is built for a fixed low pressure measured in millibar, usually around 30 mbar. At its top setting the C70 delivers 2 bar, which is 2,000 mbar, more than sixty times that. For a household stove, use the fixed 30 mbar Longtime C80 instead. Always check the pressure printed on the burner's rating plate before connecting.
Setting it is simple. Start with the knob turned down, light the burner, and bring the pressure up gradually to the lowest setting that gives the flame you need. The label on top of the knob shows the turning direction and carries the full ratings, so the numbers are always in front of you.
Use hose rated for high-pressure LPG on the barbed outlet and secure it with hose clips. Check every new connection for leaks with soapy water or liquid detergent, never with a match or a naked flame. Never disconnect the regulator from the cylinder while a burner is still alight, keep it out of the rain, and if you have any doubt about the setup, consult your gas dealer before lighting up.
