Description
The Hisun Electric Coconut Scraper is a free-standing machine for kitchens that get through coconuts every day. A motor turns the scraper bit inside a wide stainless steel guard, so the cook holds a halved coconut to the bit and lets the machine do the scraping.
It comes with three interchangeable bits with different functions, one of them a toothed saw-blade bit for aggressive scraping. Swapping bits lets the same machine suit different coconuts and different results, from the huni that goes into mas huni and short eats to coconut scraped for milk.
The body and the round bowl guard are stainless steel. The guard catches the flakes as they come off the shell, and the four raised legs leave room to slide a basin under the bowl, so fresh coconut drops straight into the container it will be used from.
At about 38 × 29 × 52 cm it sits on a prep table or a sturdy counter, and a recessed grip on the side makes it easier to move. It is a practical fit for cafés, hotaa, short-eats kitchens, guesthouses and large households that would otherwise scrape every shell by hand.
