Orient is on this page with the Rapid Air Sweep ceiling fan in two sweeps, 1200MM and 1400MM. Sweep is the blade diameter, and it is the figure that matters most: it sets how much air the fan shifts and how far across a room the draught still reaches.

Sweep and mounting

Take the 1200MM sweep for a bedroom or a study and the 1400MM for a sitting room or an open-plan space. Mounting height counts as much as diameter. Blades want clear air below the ceiling and enough distance above head height, so a low slab is a job for a short down-rod rather than a flush fitting. A ceiling fan draws a small fraction of the power an air conditioner does, and running one alongside the AC lets you leave the thermostat a degree or two higher.
