Philips hair dryers, 1000W to 2100W

The Philips dryers run from the 1000W DryCare Essential HP8108 up to the 2100W BHD340/10, with the 1200W BHC010/10 and BHC015/00 and the 1600W BHD300/10 and BHD308/10 filling the middle. The BHD308/10 arrives with two nozzles; the others are single-nozzle everyday dryers.

Wattage buys drying time, not gentleness. Thick or long hair dries noticeably faster at 1600W or 2100W, while short hair, a travel bag or an occasional blow-dry is well served lower down, where the body is lighter on your arm. Everything here is made for the 220–240V supply, so a dryer carried back from a country running on half that voltage will not do the same job on the same plug.
