Description
The Panasonic CS-EU24CKY3F is the 2.0 ton unit in Panasonic's EU inverter range — 6,700 W, or 22,861 Btu/h, of cooling-only capacity for the spaces a smaller split cannot hold. A large living room, an open-plan apartment floor, a hall, an office or a shop. Indoor air circulation is 20.4 m3/min, and 4-Way Swing pushes it both across and down so the far end of the room gets the same treatment as the near end.
Buying a big unit usually means paying for capacity you rarely need. converti8 is the answer to that: eight cooling stages, adjustable from around 40 per cent of rated output to beyond 100 per cent, straight from the remote. The inverter compressor follows, sliding its power draw anywhere between 621 W and 2,562 W. Run it wide open when the room is full, throttle it back when it is not — that flexibility is what produces an ISEER of 4.50 and a rated 1,153.74 kWh a year from a 2.0 TR machine.
The build is aimed squarely at coastal use. Both heat exchangers are 100% copper under a Shield Blu+ anti-corrosive coating, and the outdoor unit sits in an Eco-Tough Japanese steel casing. DustBuster reverses the outdoor fan for three minutes after every eight hours of running to keep the coil clear, so the unit does not quietly lose performance between services. Indoors, a PM 0.1 filter handles finer particles than a standard PM 2.5 element, and the fan drops to 36 dB(A) in quiet mode from 49 dB(A) at high. The operating range runs to 55°C ambient and the unit is rated to work on a 100 – 290 V supply without a separate stabilizer.
This is a split system and needs a qualified installer. The indoor unit pairs with the CU-EU24CKY3F outdoor unit; the first 7.5 m of refrigerant piping is chargeless, 15 m is the maximum run, and up to 10 m of height difference is allowed between the units. Talk to us before you order so we can confirm exactly which parts come with your unit and what your installer will need to bring — the answer depends on the consignment.
