The Sonifer SF-1914 is a body composition scale rather than a plain bathroom scale, and that distinction is the reason to buy it.

A weight-only scale gives you one number that moves for reasons you cannot see. This one reads body water, fat, muscle and bone percentages alongside weight, plus Kcal and BMI. If you are training or changing how you eat, those are the figures that tell you whether the number on the scale went down because you lost fat or because you lost muscle — which is the difference between progress and the opposite.

It handles up to 180 kg on a tempered safety glass platform. Toughened glass is what allows a platform this thin to take a full adult's weight day after day without flexing or cracking. The LCD is large enough to read while standing upright, so you are not leaning forward and shifting your weight while it settles.

Touch sensor controls replace mechanical buttons, which is one fewer thing to wear out in a damp bathroom. Auto reset zeroes it between uses, and auto shutdown powers it down when idle so the batteries are not drained standing still. Overload and low-power indicators tell you when something is wrong rather than letting the scale quietly report a bad number.

One practical note: the two AAA batteries are not included, so pick some up if you do not have spares.
