Dessini 18CM Fry Pan — RJ2655

The Dessini RJ2655 is an 18 cm non-stick fry pan with a 0.6 litre capacity: a handy everyday size for two eggs, an omelette, a single portion of fried fish, or vegetables tossed in a little oil. Inside, the black non-stick coating is pressed in a honeycomb pattern; outside, the pan is finished in red with fine vertical stripes.

The body is aluminium, which heats up quickly, and the whole pan weighs just 0.37 kg. A spiral-grooved metal plate covers the base, and the black bakelite handle stays cooler to hold than metal, with a hole at the end for hanging.

It is hand wash only, not dishwasher safe. Use wooden or silicone tools rather than metal, wash it with a soft sponge, and let it cool before it goes under the tap. Scratches and sudden cold water are what wear a non-stick coating out early.

Dessini lists the RJ2655 for gas cooktops; it is not listed for induction.
