Philips AirFryer 3.2L 1000 Series - NA110/00

The Philips Airfryer 1000 Series NA110/00 is the compact, no-nonsense entry point to air frying. Its 3.2-litre pan holds up to 400 g of fries, four chicken drumsticks or 400 g of vegetables — enough for one or two people, or a side dish alongside a main — in a body that takes up little counter space.

Cooking is handled by Philips’ Rapid Air technology. The Starfish-shaped base plate shapes hot air into a circulating flow around the food, so it crisps on the outside and stays tender inside using little or no added oil. Philips puts the headline benefit at up to 90% less fat than homemade fries cooked in a conventional deep fat fryer, and says the airfryer cooks up to 50% faster while using up to 70% less energy than an A-class oven.

Controls are deliberately simple: two analogue dials, one for temperature across 80–200 °C and one for a timer that runs up to 60 minutes, rings a bell and shuts the appliance off automatically. There is no digital display and there are no preset buttons — you set the heat and the time yourself, which is what lets the same machine cover 12 cooking methods, from air frying and roasting to baking, grilling, toasting, reheating, defrosting, dehydrating and cooking straight from frozen.

Cleaning is straightforward. The pan and the StarPlate frying insert are both non-stick and both dishwasher-safe, and the inner coating is BPA-free. Cool-touch handgrips, a cool-wall exterior and non-slip feet make it safe to handle mid-cook, and the 0.8 m cord tucks into built-in cord storage when you put it away.

Note that this is a non-connected appliance. The Philips HomeID app gives you free recipes and suggested settings to dial in by hand — it does not control the airfryer. Supplied in black.
