Description
The Philips BT3302/15 sits in the Beard Trimmer Series 3000, and the two things that lift it above the Series 1000 trimmers are the length range and the battery.
Ten settings run from 0.5 mm to 10 mm in 1 mm steps, all from a single adjustable comb — no swapping attachments to change length. That range covers everything from a close shadow to a genuinely long beard, and because the steps are marked you can find a length you like and return to it exactly.
The Lift & Trim comb is the part that quietly makes the difference. Flat-lying hairs tend to slip under a plain comb and survive the first pass; this one lifts them and feeds them up to the blade, so a single pass takes the beard down evenly instead of leaving strays to catch later.
Power is where the Li-ion battery earns its place. A full charge takes 1.5 hours instead of the 8 or 16 hours a Ni-MH trimmer needs, and gives 60 minutes of use. Better still, a 15-minute quick charge is enough for one full trim — the feature you will be grateful for on a morning you forgot to plug it in.
The blades are self-sharpening stainless steel and never need oil. Combs and the cutting head rinse under the tap; brush the handle clean rather than rinsing it. As with the rest of this Philips range, the USB cable is in the box but a plug adapter is not, so use a certified USB supply or the recommended Philips HQ87.
