Description
The Usha Apollo EX is the large-room fan in Usha's Apollo family. Its 1400 mm sweep and 235 CMM of air delivery are aimed squarely at the spaces a normal bedroom fan cannot handle: a hall, an open-plan living and dining room, a wide bedroom, a small office floor.
It is not the 1200 mm Apollo LX with longer blades — it is a different model with a different motor. Where the LX spins at 350 RPM on a shorter sweep, the EX turns at 290 RPM across a much larger circle. That is the correct way to build a big fan. Long blades turned fast get loud and start to whistle at the tips; long blades turned slower move more air, more quietly, over a much wider area.
The practical consequence is coverage. In a room where a 1200 mm fan leaves the far corners still and you find yourself reaching for a second fan, one Apollo EX usually does the whole job on a middle speed setting.
Before you fit it, check the space. A 56-inch fan needs clearance all round and a sensible drop from the ceiling, so make sure the blade circle clears any beam, curtain track, wardrobe top or high shelf. It mounts on a standard downrod and ceiling hook, and runs from an ordinary wall regulator — no remote, no receiver.
